I have been teaching 5th grade for 13 years now.  I never grew up wanting to be a teacher.  Like many kids, I wanted to be a baseball player.  I played baseball until college when I tore my rotator cuff and had to give it up for good.  I first started to work with kids when I started coaching my cousin in Little League baseball.  Through that experience I was convinced by others that I had a gift for working with kids. I decided to try and take one education class in college to see what it was like and as they say, "The rest is history".  I started out teaching in Broward County Florida and was blessed to have many great students that still keep in touch with me to this day.  I've been in Hall County at Chestnut Mountain for 3 years now and I love it.  I graduated from Trinity International University where I also played baseball.  I received my Masters Degree in Administration from Florida Atlantic University.  I also earned National Board Certification in 2001 and will be renewing my certificate over the next couple of years.  I enjoy working with and teaching with today's technology.
